To meet the evolving training needs to our members, the IMA has developed a series of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Offerings. Each offering is a short course on a specialized topic, designed to enhance the participant’s skillset
and knowledge on a particular subject. Employing a variety of teaching methods, courses are engaging, informative, and thought-provoking.  Study of the IMA’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards is an essential step in acquiring and retaining professional accreditation (A.I.M.A.) and designation (M.I.M.A.).
The IMA expects each member to apply the Code and Standards in their professional activities and related aspects of life. For this reason, the IMA incorporates ethics and standards in its curriculum of continuing professional development. Three new CPD modules dealing with the Code and Standards have been developed to reflect the scope and complexity of ethical challenges facing the profession. Each course explores a unique ethical topic relevant to your professional practice. You can choose to complete one, two, or all three, in any order, depending on your CPD needs. Ethics CPD - Generative AI in Property Assessment Case No. 1 This course addresses several ethical issues that could arise with the growing use of generative artificial intelligence (“generative AI”). Ethics CPD - Accessibility Legislation and Property Valuation – Case No. 3 This course addresses several ethical issues that could arise during the valuation of properties that have been modified to meet provincially legislated accessibility guidelines CPD Credits: 1.0 Ethics Credit Costs: $25 (Members) Register Now: Member Navigating Ethical DilemmasDescription: Navigating Ethical Dilemmas is the latest installment of the IMA’s Ethics CPD Series, supported by the IMA Code of Ethics and Professional Standards. Drawing from six ethical scenarios originally published in Insti-News’ Ethical Corner series, this course navigates the nuanced topic of ethics in a thought-provoking and engaging manner. Participants will be asked to reflect on their own ethical responsibilities as an IMA member and refresh their knowledge of the Code.
