
With over 1,250 members, the IMA is Canada’s largest association of property assessment and taxation professionals. Our diverse membership includes individuals from the private and public sectors practicing in the fields of assessment, consultancy,
appraisal, taxation and law.
Incorporated in May 1957, the IMA is dedicated to advancing the interests, education and professional competence of our Members. In 1987, the Institute of Municipal Assessors Act granted the IMA exclusive rights to award its Members professional designations, including the Member Institute of Municipal Assessors (M.I.M.A.) and Associate Member Institute of Municipal Assessors (A.I.M.A.) designations.
