Reinstatement and Membership Parking Policy

Reinstatement Policy

Membership lapsed within two (2) fiscal years, previous to the current fiscal year.

Applicants will be subject to:

• Approval by the Board of Directors.
• Completion of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours where required.
• Payment of any outstanding membership dues.
• Payment of a $100 administrative fee
  

Membership lapsed for over two (2) fiscal years.

Applicant to reapply as a new member subject to:

• Qualifications meeting current course requirement.
• Approval by the Board of Directors
• Payment of applicable membership dues.
• Payment of a $100 administrative fee

Contact the IMA office if you would like to reinstate your membership. 

Parked Membership

Current Accredited and Associate Members in good standing may request to have their memberships parked for up to two (2) years based on the following criteria:

• Members on sick leave.
• Members on sabbatical.
• Members on maternity/parental leave.
• Members out of the country for an extended period of time.
• Members no longer employed in or in a related property assessment field.
  
• Any other unique circumstances 

The request may be approved subject to:

• An application filed detailing the reason for the request.
• Approval by the Board of Directors.
• Payment of the $25 administration fee. A second $25 administration fee will be charged at the time of return.
  

When you are ready to reactive your membership, submit a "Return from Parking" request.
