CPD Program

 

IMA members are committed to maintaining the highest standards in professionalism and expertise. The relevance and status of the A.I.M.A. designation and M.I.M.A. accreditation is enhanced by the requirement to continually upgrade and update knowledge and skills in the field of property assessment.


CPD Program Basics


In a commitment to ongoing professional growth, IMA members are required to complete CPD hours to maintain their designations. Over a two-year cycle, designated and accredited members are required to complete the following:

  • A.I.M.A. designated members are required to complete 16 hours (with a min. of 12 hours in the category of Learning hours)
  • M.I.M.A. accredited members are required to complete 20 hours  (with a min. of 15 hours in the category of Learning hours)


We are currently in CPD Cycle 4, which runs from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2022.

The CPD Committee reviews external events, courses, and professional development offerings and determines an appropriate number of CPD Credits (as either Learning Hours or General Hours) to allocated to that offering. Those offerings are recognized on the Approved Events page. If your offering is not listed, you can seek recognition by submitting a CPD Approval Request.
