Navigating Ethical Dilemmas (CPD Offering)

Course Description

Navigating Ethical Dilemmas is the latest installment of the IMA’s Ethics CPD Series, supported by the IMA Code of Ethics and Professional Standards.

Drawing from six ethical scenarios originally published in Insti-News’ Ethical Corner series, this course navigates the nuanced topic of ethics in a thought-provoking and engaging manner.  Participants will be asked to reflect on their own ethical responsibilities as an IMA member and refresh their knowledge of the Code.

 

Mandatory Requirement for CPD Cycle 4

This course is mandatory for all A.I.M.A. Designated and M.I.M.A. Accredited members as a requirement for CPD Cycle 4 (April 1, 2020 – March 31, 2022). 

Already completed your CPD Cycle 4 hours? Complete the course in the last three months of CPD Cycle 4 (between January 1 – March 31, 2022) to carry your hours forward to CPD Cycle 5, in accordance with the CPD Policy. 

 

Course Outline / Delivery Method

Each of the course’s six (6) modules begin with a video presenting an ethical scenario related to property assessment.  That video is followed by a series of thought-provoking questions, considerations with respect to those questions, and finally a ten-question module quiz.  In total, the course should take approximately three (3) hours to complete.

Grading and Evaluation

While this course is not formally graded, there are two completion requirements:

• Reflection Questions: Participants will be asked a series of thought-provoking questions based on each module scenario and are expected to provide thoughtful responses to each. While these responses will not be graded, the IMA will be auditing completions to ensure participants have fulfilled this course requirement by providing meaningful reflection.

• Module Quizzes: Each module concludes with a ten-question quiz (five true/false and five multiple choice questions). You must achieve a passing grade of 70% before you can move onto the next module. You may re-attempt the quiz as many times as required.

Course must be completed within 90 days from date of enrollment

 

CPD Credits

This course does not provide an official grade, however there are two completion requirements:

	3.0 Learning Credits Credits are automatically logged to your IMA Member Portal  when the course feedback survey is submitted. No CPD form is required.
	This program contains 2 hours and 15 minutes of Professionalism Content     This program contains 45 minutes of EDI Professionalism Content
