Christian G. Schulze Award for Excellence

 

Christian G. Schulze Award for Excellence was first sponsored by the IMA in 2010. The Scholarship was established in recognition of the forty years of excellence in the practice of law in the assessment profession by Mr. Schulze.

The scholarship is available to students in the full-time Real Property Administration (RPA) diploma program at Seneca College. The award is given to the student who achieves the highest mark in IMA-321: Fundamental of Canadian Assessment Law and who demonstrates good attendance and class participation.

About the Founder - Christian G. Schulze, Q.C., Affiliate

Mr. Schulze has practiced law in the assessment profession for over forty years and is partner at Schulze Douglas LLP. His credibility and ethics in his practice of law, along with his reputation and status are well known throughout the assessment profession, and the list of cases he has argued read like a litany of assessment jurisprudence - Sabro, Dofasco, Hayes Stationary, Inco, Carson's Camp, ClubLink, the automotive industry cases and on and on. He is a member of the IMA and a strong supporter of its educational programs. Mr. Schulze has spoken and presented at numerous Annual Conference's and was awarded the W. J. Lettner "Member of the Year Award" at the 2011 IMA Annual Conference.
